The HATC stands for High altitude training centre and is founded by multiple world champion Lornah Kiplagat. It is a training centre equipped with all the modern facilities needed for a successful training camp. The HATC is located in Iten, Kenya.

Iten is a town along the Elgeyo escarpment. The altitude of 2400 m. / 7900 ft. above sea level is ideal for high altitude training. The HATC is open to everyone! From recreational runners to elite level athletes, everybody is welcome in the HATC. The HATC is open all year.

FULLY EQUIPPED ”STATE OF THE ART” GYM

The Gym is fully equipped with a mixture of Cardio Machines, Weight Machines, Free Weights, Medicine Balls, Steps and floor mats. There is a Sauna in both the changing rooms to aid recovery. We run 3 strength and conditioning sessions a week for both guests and local athletes..

400M ALL WEATHER TARTAN TRACK

The Hight Altitude Training Centre has the only all weather tartan track outside of Nairobi. Our track is open and free to use for guests staying at the High Altitude Training Centre.

SAUNA

The high altitude training centre has two sauna’s (men & womens) that are ideal for recovery or just for relaxation.

25M SWIMMING POOL

We have a 25m Swimming Pool. The Pool can be used for both recreation and training. We have aqua-jogging belts and floats. The Smimming Pool is free to use for all guests staying at HATC.

FYSIOTHERAPY & MASSAGE

We have a Physiotherapy and Injury Clinic. Our Physiotherapists have been trained by renowned Physical Therapists. They can provide Sports massage as well as treatment for injuries.

The High Altitude Training Centre offers stay based on full board which includes 3 meals a day. Costs can vary depending on the length of your stay and the number of people (pax) if you come with a group.
